So today, I headed over to school for a business meeting of sorts. Finally got to meet the other people of the team, some who happen to be fellow schoolmates and some who are employees at Blizzard. They announced our official company name (Nethera Studios) to the team and gave us the general info regarding the game we'll be developing over time. Sorry, I can't share any of the game details with you (Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)), but I can assure you it's a good one. Each, or most, of the people got their assignments in the team. I was originally going to be doing the 3d modelling for the game, but instead requested to assist in the conceptual artwork. Maybe I'll help out with the 3d modelling at a later period of development. Anyways, looking forward to this opportunity. Too bad there's no pay (yet), but it does count as work experience. Hey, Henry! Here's my post! Back from BACCLC! It's kind of hard to type this out 'cuz on the way back from the retreat, my glasses broke! It's kind of funny because prior to the trip, my dad was telling me it's time to get my eyes checked out and maybe get new glasses, but that didn't happen because I was leaving that same day he proposed that idea. But yeah, I guess it's a sign. Anyways, BACCLC was friggin fantastic this year! Much props to Ken for putting it all together and to the Exco team as well! All the first timers I asked said they had an awesome time, too! Now, if only we could get all the skits compiled into one video - oh man, the laughs.... Yes, I will miss everyone there, but there's always next year! YOSH! I wonder if being sick and blind is a blessing-in-disguise? I must do some reflection...
